The Salon Wrap-Up for January 7, 2018: "Let's Hear It For The Girls"

This week the Salon's founder, Mark Janas, was a little under the weather, so filling in was Guest Host was the wonderful Jeff Cubeta! Our Co-Host was the effervescent Niki Sorrentino! The first song she brought in for our theme, "Let's Hear It For The Girls" was the Taylor Swift song, "Style" with Heidi Siegell on backups. For her mid-show set, she gave us a medley joined together by comedic stories about her fascination with Stevie Nicks. She completed the evening with a lovely rendition of the song, "Jazzman."

Niki will be at The Laurie Beechman Theatre – 407 West 42nd St, NYC 10036 – in FILTHY GORGEOUS on Saturday, January 20th at 6pm. For more information: www.nikisorrentino.com

Salon Spotlight

Our Salon Spotlight featured Kati Neiheisel with Gregory Tororian on piano! She began her set with a silky smooth "It Happened to Me", followed by a contemplative "Devil and Miss Jones" with music by Barry Levitt. She finished her set with a song perfect for the theme, "Woman in the Moon."

Kati will be at Don’t Tell Mama – 343 West 46th St, NYC 10036 – in AMONG THE STARS on Thursday, February 15th at 7pm. For more information: www.donttellmamanyc.com

Quick Wrap - Cubeta's Corner

Jeff, a charming singer and songwriter, started Cubeta's corner with a wistful and fun, "Minor Changes." He followed that with a tune that Amy Winehouse made famous - "Valerie." He finished the set, and the first half with a sweet and gentle, "Blue Moon."
